When they arrived they were packaged in coin sleeves put into black bubble wrap sealed bag put into a unmarked box with paper inside so the coins wouldn’t move around , then wrapped with the shipping company’s sealed plastic wrap and tapped again. And I had to sign for the packaging, not just dropped off for some porch pirates! Pretty good experience! I’m confused by the negative reviews based on “high prices”. They have the best prices in town! I haven’t sold to them (yet), but when it comes to buying silver AND numismatic coins (and gold) they easily have the best prices in town, and I frequent all the shops in the salem-keizer area. I have been closely paying attention to silver and numismatics markets for years and I get better deals here than I’ve gotten anywhere else.
God bless this family! Such genuine and kind people. They even give my 6 y/o daughter fun world coins, usually with cool animals on them, when I bring her with me. Can’t wait to go back in once they’re back for the new year!
Check them out! You won’t regret it unless you have unrealistic expectations about their prices or the value of your coins. And remember… coin shops CAN NOT pay you the full value of a coin or precious metal. They are not collecting. They are buying from you to sell to someone else. That is their business. If you want best prices for your coins, sell them on one of many reputable auction websites. Even then, the auction houses take a large percentage so you might not be any better off. I highly doubt Capital Coin Corp gouges people worse than Tiptons, or Salem Coin or American Coin and Gold. Thats all I have to say.
