Until about 3 years ago when I went to Houston Gold Buyers. The service there is great! Pete and all the guys there are awesome! They take great care of me and all of their customers.
They all pay fair and sometimes even over spot whenever I sell to them. They offer quick service with a great exchange of education and conversation. Best of all I can always cash a check from there with no problem or even get cash when it’s convenient.
On some occasions I can’t make it to them because of my work schedule and have to send in a friend or family member in my place, but each time I get great feedback on how they were treated fair and with great service.

REVIEW #9 – My friend and I visited the store today without an appointment and met Brad, the owner, who welcomed us in and helped us by sorting through a bag of (mostly) fun jewelry that belonged to a dear friend who recently died. Brad was engaging as we chatted explaining what he saw along the way which made the process more enjoyable for us. In the end we had an few items which contained gold, some silver and the remaining pieces would be directed to a contact he’d made over the years who made a living selling non-precious things at trade fairs – a tough way to live perhaps but enjoyable because of the people one meets, the lively conversations and the art of repurposing once loved things to their next adoring owner.
Before I left I had become interested in looking at a piece in a case that I found interesting but more than I wanted to spend. Brad made an offer that worked perfectly for me.
My friend and I left with the lightness of having passed along my friend’s fun jewelry to a place where it will continue to be enjoyed, a complimentary jewelry cleaner for each of us, a feeling of having had a nice and very engaging interaction and me with a lovely bauble which will serve as a sweet reminder of my recently departed friend and an all-around enjoyable experience.
On the ride home my friend and I are going to sort through all of our unworn trinkets, plan a great lunch spot and go visit Houston Gold Exchange.
