REVIEW #15 – Had a very good experience dealing with USMR. About 8 years ago my mother bought quite a bit of coins from them (more than she should have, lol). Mostly Gold, Silver, and some Palladium & Platinum. In the past few years we needed to liquidate her coins and over a period of a year and a half was able to sell back to USMR everything. I did check pricing with several local coin dealers and they could never come close to what USMR would pay us. Most of the coins gained a significant profit. The ones that did not we sold back for the same price that my mother purchased them at. Overall a very smooth experience. I’ve seen some say that USMR’s pricing was way too high, however they bought everything back, most with a significant gain in profit for us. If we were not in the situation we are, I would have gladly held on longer to some of them, however we needed the liquidity. The entire time I delt with a gentleman named Brendan Raba. In every interaction I had with him he was helpful, professional, polite and friendly.
Holding coins is a great way to diversify assets. However, I highly recommend paying close attention to the kind of coins you consider buying. They are not all the same. Some appreciate more than others, and with some there is a significant difference. Also, bear in mind that the pricing of the coins does not necessarily correlate with the current price of gold. Take the time to know what you are buying.
Overall we had a great experience dealing with USMR. The guarantee to buy back whatever they sell is true. Dealing with Mr. Raba was a pleasure and he made sure that we had a great experience with USMR. – Brian Sullivan
