I wasn’t sure about the market or even whether the coin was authentic but Gregory walked me through what he was seeing and the historical context. He also explained how the market impacts true numismatic value beyond melt value. No pressure to sell, no haggling and no upsell. Just a welcoming and professional conversation that was genuinely enjoyable. It honestly felt more like talking with another collector than a formal appointment.
I was upfront that I’m leaning toward keeping the coin and mainly wanted education and guidance on whether grading makes sense. Gregory suggested there’s no need to jump into paid testing or the grading process unless I decide to go that route later. He evaluated it using practical indicators like weight, dimensions, strike details, wear patterns and markings, then clearly laid out the next steps if I ever choose to grade or sell.
They were also extremely accommodating! I gave them a heads-up earlier in the day that I was going to be late because of work truck issues and they still made room for me hours later.
