REVIEW #7 – This is a real diamond office. They bought a diamond ring I inherited from a family member. The buyer showed me diamonds like the one I was selling. He paid 10% less than he would sell it for. I felt very comfortable, the offer was nearly double than other offers I received in NOVA. It was worth the drive to Richmond. The office is hard to find. The GPS will take you directly to the location. It’s on the second floor of a museum that looks like a mansion. So when I got there I was seeing a huge mansion and not a store. REVIEW #11 – I went to Kambourian Jewelers to buy an engagement ring and Nathan Kambourian was extremely helpful. Before this process I had no idea about rings. When I told him my story and budget range he picked a diamond that was shipped in from New York that he envisioned as a best fit. The diamond was perfectly shaped and very eye catching in a dimmed room so I knew that was the one. Also he gave me advice of the pros and cons of different ring designs from what’s in fashion and what types would require the most maintenance. We opted for a less maintenance, solitaire design and put the extra funds into a higher quality center stone. Lastly, Nathan was able set the ring and the price I paid was definitely at a greater value compared to any other large department jeweler after doing some online research. REVIEW #12 – What an awesome experience!! I knew that I wanted to update my .80 ctw diamond studs to a larger 1.10 ctw pair, but I didn’t want the run around of a chain store. I was going back and forth on a pair that I was going to purchase in the Short Pump area, when I decided to do a little research about wholesalers. As it turns out, there is actually a source in our quiet town of RVA. I called DPMEX on a Sunday and was able to speak to the owner directly. Imagine that, on a Sunday!! We set up an appointment that following week, and it was quite educational. He was very open about the process and what he was able to do for me. No pushy sales business, fueled by commission. The meeting was laid back, but very professional. I felt comfortable talking about prices and my expectations. In about a week, my new studs were set, and they exceeded what I had asked for. Instead of I1 stones, he was able to get me VS for the same price, and the cut, OMG, gorgeous!!! The color was on point, I like a warmer stone to compliment my skin tone. The next Saturday, I brought my mom, and she also purchased a pair of studs. Overall, if you do not need the hassle of traditional jewelery stores, or the pressure to buy, I would check them out!! I am recommending them to all my savvy friends.
