The first shop I visited was cluttered and had a strong cigarette smell, which made the experience uncomfortable—so stepping into Bellingham Coin Shop was an immediate breath of fresh air. It is clean, open, organized, and full of interesting coins and so many other types of collectibles.
All of the staff were helpful, but the owner in particular stood out. He was warm and extremely knowledgeable. He explained things clearly, answered all of my questions, and treated me with genuine respect. The prices I was offered were very fair—slightly higher than the first shop—and I felt confident and comfortable selling my coins there.
What impressed me most was his enthusiasm for the hobby itself. When I mentioned that I was just beginning to learn about coins, he encouraged my interest and made me feel welcome to the “club”! It was obvious he has a passion for the work he does.
