Like other banks, it must follow regulations, and there are occasional times when relatively simple tasks take time. REVIEW #10 – I recently transferred my account to Questrade from a big bank. The process was fairly easy. To make sure I was getting it right the first time I called customer service.
Eshwar walked me through and checked what I had done. Sure enough we found a glitch with the cash part of the move. Eshwar was able to generate a sweep so that after the movement, there would be a 2nd check of the account and the cash would be moved over too.
Questrade makes transferring funds easy and the zero fee trades are great! I am able to customize and select some of my investments to automatically re-invest the dividend so I don’t have to do a transaction every month.! REVIEW #15 – I recently transferred my accounts from another brokerage to Questrade and would like to share my overall experience.
The platform is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Most importantly, I had an outstanding experience with Jacob from the Client Services department. He helped resolve all the issues related to my account transfer and carefully addressed every question and concern I had.
Jacob is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and patient. He also speaks excellent Mandarin, which made the communication very smooth and efficient for me. His support truly made a big difference and greatly improved my confidence in using Questrade. I sincerely appreciate his dedication and would highly recommend him.
However, I have to mention that the overall customer service level was disappointing — long wait times (often 40+ minutes), very limited help from phone and chat support, and I never heard back after sending an email for over six days.
I hope Questrade can improve the overall service level of their call center, live chat, and email teams to the high standard demonstrated by team members like Jacob, or offer an option to connect with specialized or senior representatives when needed promptly. – Alina Yang

REVIEW #1 – What an amazing tour! Quite glad we did it a well worth the admission. The fellow we had doing the tour was personable and knowledgeable. Gave great overviews and shows the process. If we had questions and wanted to get deeper on things (like how it is refined to 5 9s) he gave detailed explanations. Bought the kids a couple 1oz silver investment coins for their souvenir. All in all a great time. No pics from the tour as they weren’t permitted. You should try getting an appointment online – they email you back right away. That said, some people that were visiting the gift shop were able to buy and hop on to the tour while we were there. – Jim H

REVIEW #4 – What a cool experience! Book in advance and arrive early! This tour was so informative and interesting. I would recommend visiting during the week as there is no coin production on the weekend. Though we didn’t see any actual work being done, the views from above were so fascinating. Seeing rolls of gold and silver in rolls to blanks and the purest coins were amazing. The TV videos were great as it shows the production line up close and the tour guide knew so much and was able to answer all questions. Totally worth it, visit if you can! REVIEW #5 – We visited the Royal Canadian Mint for a tour. I recommend booking a reservation in advance to make sure you get a spot. The tour was very informative about the minting process and the boutique has many coin options at different price ranges. REVIEW #7 – We had a guided tour for 2:30pm. Our guide was amazing, she told us a lot about coin making process, some history and answered our questions. Photos and videos are prohibited. We saw a little bit a of the process, but mostly they were done for the day. Our guide said that every day is different, sometimes you are lucky to witness the process, sometimes not. This location makes collection and investment coins of gold and silver. There is another MINT in Winnipeg. – Olga Yatsenko

REVIEW #10 – Interesting place to tour. We don’t have a chance to visit their faculty minting coins because we didn’t know ticket has to book advance online. Nevertheless, we enjoy to shop in their coin boutique which has variety of coin souvenirs to buy. Moreover, we have a chance to change CAD $10 per person for 5 pcs of CAD $2 with colour design for coin collection. In the shop there is a large variety of collectible Canadian coins and I bought some of them as a souvenir. There are also photo opportunities outside of the mint building but unfortunately photography and videos are not allowed in the factory tour as the production is private. 100% definitely worth going here! – Kiet TT
REVIEW #14 – I had the pleasure of visiting the mint this past weekend for my birthday, & I had an absolutely amazing time. I fell in love with coin collecting earlier this year when I got an advertisement on Instagram for the magic of the northern lights 3oz fine silver coin; so my brother thought it would be a fun excursion to go and do a tour of the mint. It was my second time at the mint, as my elementary school senior trip took us there, but seeing as I was only 13 years old at the time, I didn’t appreciate it nearly as much as I did this weekend. My group had an amazing tour guide named Christopher. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, & witty the entire time. He taught us about the machinery, along with some cool fun facts.
It was so cool to see the manufacturing machinery for the amazing numismatics that Canada is capable of. All of the staff working in the shop were helpful and friendly as well. Hopefully I can make a trip to Winnipeg one day to check out where they make all of the circulation coins next !! – Cameron McRobbie
REVIEW #15 – I’ve visited the Royal Canadian Mint many times over the years, and it’s always been an enjoyable experience. The building itself is impressive, but the real highlight is how much you can learn about the craftsmanship behind Canada’s coins.
The tours are well done — clear, informative, and easy to follow — and you get a real sense of the precision and care that goes into minting. The displays are interesting whether you’re a casual visitor or someone who enjoys the history and design behind currency.
I’ve picked up a few coins here as well, and the quality never disappoints. It’s a great place to explore if you’re into collectibles, Canadian history, or just want a unique stop in Ottawa.
