I have done business with UPMA for silver, gold, and goldbacks. I have sent and received wires from UPMA & their associated businesses numerous times. I have asked for customer service through email and phone, including pretty minor stuff.
Gold/ Silver American Eagles –
Getting Gold/Silver American Eagles at UPMA is a no brainer. There is a premium, but there is no spread. It is a great idea if you want to vault. It might not be such a great idea if you want to take delivery, but the no-spread concept was such a pleasant deal for someone like me. Sure, you pay a bit more, but you get very stable, reasonable rates and it’s easier.
Goldbacks –
It’s free to vault Goldbacks, which lower the bar for owning gold to historically unprecedented levels. It’s pretty cool, check it out. UPMA provides excellent vaulting service + exchange/bank-like service at a very reasonable rate. Goldbacks are cheaper and prettier than really small bars of gold.
Bank – UPMA Transactions
The first few transactions required phone conversations with both the bank and UPMA, but they were both quite easy. Since then, wires and buys are confirmed and conducted in 1 or 2 business days in my personal experience.
TLDR: I recommend this great vaulting/trading service for precious metals and/or getting small amounts of gold. – Yoonski
